Ingredients;
Black gram cereal-2 cups
Rice-1 hand full
Green chillies-8
Oil to deep fry
Cumin seeds-1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Curry and coriander leaves
Fresh cocunut pieces-few
Black pepper-6 [optional]
METHOD
Soak rice and dhal for 3 hours and grind the batter coarsely in the wet grinder[ the batter should be thick if more water is used for grinding] preparation of batter is very important while making it.When you drop little batter in water,it should float over the batter like a ball.
Make a mixture of green chillies,curry and coriander leaves ,black pepper in the mixer[if needed you can use a piece of ginger in the mixie to paste]. Mix the paste, salt,cocunut pieces,and cumin seeds to the batter and mix well.
Take oil in a frying pan, heat the oil, take water in a bowl ,dip your hands and take a small plastic and apply water to it. Take little batter and put it on the plastic.After dipping the finger in water and make a hole at the center and now drop the vada slowly in hot oil,for one time add 4-5 vadas in the frying pan. Deep fry till the color becomes brown in the oil and serve hot with coconut chutney or soup of green gram cerealFOR FURTHER INFORMATION PLEASE VISIT
